Victorian sterling silver ewer or wine jug in the Arabesque style, with maker's marks of Thomas Smily, London, and 1876, in the Arabesque or Moorish eclectic style, the acanthus-cast handle above a shaped spout, the drop-shaped body all over engraved in "Islamic" style strap work ornament above a circular stepped foot (dents, split to foot). Weight: 19.8 ozt; 12.75" H x 5.5" diameter.
