**The painting exhibits several campaigns of restoration. There is inpainting to the sky and there are four older repairs to the tree in upper center right with correspondent inpainting that were likely done before the painting was cut and relined sometime in the 19th century, as none of the the repairs are visible on the back. There are significant areas of abrading to the painted surface with the underpainting and canvas weave visible in parts. There are newer significant inpainted "touch-ups" spread throughout the painting. Light surface soiling is present throughout. Additional photographs available upon request.
