Date: 19th century
Description: The Krautturm of Heidelberg Castle, known today as the "Blasted Tower", was blown up in 1693 in the course of the War of the Palatinate Succession. The massive round tower is made of red sandstone and was partially destroyed. The drawing impressively shows a huge blasted-off piece of wall lying against the tower.

Condition
Very good condition. The image makes a very good impression. The sheet is pale fingerstained in places in the background.
