Description
A unique shaped bulbous body oil vessel from the grand tour in an ancient style with thin neck, loop handle and flared top. Decorated with a seated nude figure, drapery folds beneath him, one hand with raised offering tray. Size: 10-3/5" H. Provenance: Ted Knapp, a former physicist for the Space Program at NASA, was also an antique dealer and director of Castle Armory Antique Arms Museum in St. Augustine, Florida. He died in 2010 at the age of 95.
