Description
After Charles Joseph Roufosse, French, 1853 to 1901, bronze figural sculpture depicting a lovely nymph scattering roses titled Les Roses. A work after the original that debuted at the Paris Salon in 1894. Signed to the base. Circa the early 20th century. Charles Joseph Roufosse studied with Auguste Maillard and Antonin Mercie at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was a member of the Society of French Artists and exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1885 to 1899. Antique French Sculptures for Collectors.
