Item Details

Description

End of the 19th century English Stained Glass Screen for Fireplaces, which represents a woman surrounded by branches with leaves, and around the human figure decorated with crystals with different shades and colors. Each segment is hand painted on reverse textured glass and is framed in stained glass. The entire screen is lined with princess-cut jewels that simulate semi-precious stones such as emeralds, rubies, sapphires, among others. The shade is encased in gilt bronze and sits on decorative feet. It needs partial restoration, some crystals are cracked (see images). Measures 41" high x 22.25" wide x 9" deep (inches).
