Description
Ecuador, 500 AD. A seated figure, knees pulled up to the body with a long cape and the head, likewise, mostly covered, with remains of green pigments. Dimensions: 4-5/8: H. Provenance: Lands Beyond Gallery to Kent Bond Gallery who sold it to Dr. Henry Cherrick, who was a professor and dean at UCLA School of dentistry who pioneered government programs promoting dental care in HIV/AIDs patients. He was an avid collector of fine art and antiquities and died at the age of 84 in 2023.
