Frank Lloyd Wright (June 8, 1867 – April 9, 1959) was an American architect, interior designer, writer, and educator who designed more than 1,000 structures, including houses, museums, churches, and commercial buildings. He is considered one of the most important and influential architects of the 20th century.
Wright's designs were characterized by their emphasis on organic architecture, which sought to create buildings that were in harmony with their natural surroundings. He also developed a unique style of architecture known as the Prairie School, which was characterized by horizontal lines, flat roofs, and an integration of interior and exterior spaces.
Some of Wright's most famous works include Fallingwater, a house built over a waterfall in Pennsylvania, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, and the Robie House in Chicago. Wright's designs had a profound impact on American architecture and continue to be studied and admired today.
