Description
The beautiful Buddhist head carved from grey mica schist. This head exudes a serene and calm expression with downcast eyes, beneath arched eyebrows and an aquiline nose creating a naturalistic expression with heavy touches of Greek, Syrian, Persian, and Indian art traditions. It has a well fleshed face and distinct features, wearing an elaborate turban decorated with pearls and beads. Dimensions: 9.5"H without base. Additional height on base. Provenance: B.C.
