Description
Circa 1868-1912. Beautifully formed tripod vessel stands upon three lobed feet, the main body decorated with 3 panels, including a dragon. Traditional gold wire technique, this Koro is an example that shows why the late 19th Century Meiji period in Japan is often referred to as the 'Golden Age' of cloisonne enamel. Acid tests as 10K gold. Extremely fine metalwork and intricate design, in outstanding condition. Has several old collection stickers and numbers. Size: 5 in. diameter.
