Signed Windrow 1986 lower right and signed , titled and dated on reverse. Measures 8.3 inches high, 20.5 inches wide. Frame measures 9 inches high, 21.2 inches wide. In good condition.
Patricia Hope Windrow (1921-2013) was an American artist known for her vibrant abstract paintings and prints. She was born in New York City and studied at the Art Students League and the New School for Social Research. Windrow's early work was influenced by the Abstract Expressionist movement, but she later developed a unique style that blended abstraction with elements of landscape and nature. In addition to her artwork, Windrow was also a respected teacher, and taught at several institutions throughout her career, including the Art Students League and the Parsons School of Design.
