Description
Two 19th century American shelf clocks. Langdon and Jones (Burlington, CT) and Mark Lane (Elizabethtown, NJ). Both veneered in mahogany, with wooden works and paper labels. Original weights and pendulum missing from Langdon and Jones clock, one weight missing from Mark Lane clock. Wear, scuffs, and losses to veneer on both clocks. Losses to faces, chips to cases. Hands of Langdon and Jones clock are off face but present. Later hardware to doors of Mark Lane clock, which are very loose in place.
