Description
A Chippendale carved walnut chest-on-chest Philadelphia, PA, circa 1770
(H: 74 3/4 in. W: 42 3/4 in. D: 22 1/2 in.)
The upper section with molded cornice having dentil molding above an arrangement of three short drawers over two short drawers over four graduated long drawers, the lower section with waist molding and two long drawers, both sections with quarter columns, molded base, ogee feet.

A private collection, Salem, New Jersey.
Condition
nicely refinished surface; repaired break / patch to back left side corner of cornice molding; drawers glide easily and with clean interiors; repaired breaks to left-facing feet; some minor scuffing to feet and corners; brass possibly original, and installed in original screw holes; lower two drawers on upper section with some dark spotting to right facing
