Provenance:

Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.

Condition

Very good overall visual condition. Frame with scattered minor to moderate losses, some pieces present. With inscribed note on reverse "Painting is canvas glued to masonite / The backing was added for framing space + / pressure ???".
