Description
GEORGIAN ENGLISH STERLING SILVER CREAM POT / JUG, having a scalloped helmet-form well with reeded rim and strap handle, raised on a scalloped-edge foot with ovoid step and reeded edge. Impressed to base with a "CH" maker's mark for Charles Hougham of London and four hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, a crowned leopard's head city mark, a "q" date mark for 1791, and a King George III duty mark. Total weight: 4.910 ozt. Circa 1791. 6" HOA.
Condition
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, a few minute dents, possible repair to handle.
