Western Europe, Medieval to Post Medieval Period, ca. 14th to 19th century CE. A collection of 4 iron tools - 2 blades, a rod, and scissors. The rod may have once been a wrench or lever of some sort and one of the blades has a stamped touchmark of a fleur de lis. Both blades and lever could have been used by a carpenter, blacksmith, armorers, etc. The scissors date later than the others, and may have been domestic / household use such as a desk set or sewing. Size of scissors: 4.5" L x 1.75" W (11.4 cm x 4.4 cm)
Provenance: ex-estate of Eldert Bontekoe, Pegasi Numismatics, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA acquired before 2000
