Ca. 660-525 BC. A faience New Year's flask with lentoid body, adorned with twin arched handles on either side, further complemented by a trumpet-shaped spout that gives it a distinctive appearance. The piece is embellished with a pair of large rosettes, adorning each of the flask's sides with a delicate and intricate pattern. This vessel may once have been filled with perfume, oil, or water from the Nile, and it would have been a gift associated with the festive season at the beginning of the new year when the Nile began to flood.
