Antique Rolling Pin, One Piece Solid Wood - Lot Of 2, Kitchen Baker Tool
Presenting TWO wonderful antique large antique solid one piece wood bakers rolling pin, made in the late 1800’s. Has a stunning vintage warm reddish-brown patina.
In original as found condition. Purchased at a antique farmhouse estate auction in Western New York State along with other antique baking gadget utensils..
The entire rolling pin was originally hand-planed and then sanded at the rolling surface. Because it was hand carved, the rolling pin has an inconsistent surface especially on the handle where the hand planed marks still can still be lightly seen.
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS
Left light colored rolling pin measures 15” inches long from handle to handle while the rolling surface is 9” inches long and 2-1/4” inches in diameter.
Right reddish colored rolling pin measures 15” inches long from handle to handle while the rolling surface is 9” inches long and 2” inches in diameter.
CONDITION
There are no age cracks, no hairlines, no repairs, general wear, unpolished, original warm patina, and is in very good condition for being used for over 90 years, no other visible damage, could use an overall cleaning.
This early wood dough roller rolling pins are very functional while being an interesting decorative item that will displays beautifully in a country style kitchen. This pie crust dough roller has a primitive feel and look that is perfect for a farmhouse decor, shabby chic, or country cottage kitchen.
