Shows wonderful detail at the street level, including references to the important buildings, trains, canals and roads. Color-coded according to city wards. Enhanced by the attractive floral border which makes Mitchell maps stand out from others of the period. One of the most attractive atlas maps of Baltimore to appear in the 19th century. Dated 1860 and from the 1863 edition of Mitchell’s New General Atlas. Wide margins. Very light toning to edges. 9.25 x 11
