restrike etching, edition of 250
embossed in paper lower left: JH Sharp
Sharp created a series of etchings on copper and steel plates, with plans to produce a total of 250 in each edition. During Sharpβs lifetime, only a small number of the 250 were pulled from the plates, leaving 227 to be produced posthumously. Fenn Galleries, SF, NM, completed the edition of 227 etchings in 1982. They were produced in conjunction with the Sharp retrospective in 1983 and publication of the Sharp biography, The Beat of the Drum and the Whoop of the Dance.
13 1/2 x 10 1/2 in. (34.3 x 26.7 cm.), Frame: 21 3/4 x 18 1/2 x 1 in. (55.2 x 47 x 2.5 cm.)

The piece appears to be in fine, original condition. The frame is in very good condition. Please note the piece is framed behind plexiglass and has not been inspected outside of the frame.
