Joseph Holdcroft Majolica Heron Large Umbrella or Stick Stand
Circa 1880
Twice impressed uppercase mark J. Holdcroft, recorded as model no. 6
Standing naturalistically on one leg atop a rocky mound, holding a struggling fish in its beak, the stand formed by flaring reeds and bulrushes, further foliage at the foot raised on a circular dark-brown mound base. Height 33 inches.
