Great Victory of the Imperial Navy in the Russo-Japanese Naval Battle at Port Arthur - Hurrah!
Circa 1904
The Japanese color woodblock hexaptych. a long battle scene printed on six separate pages joined to create a single scene, is signed Kokunimasa with artist's flower seal.
This print celebrates the Great Victory of the Imperial Navy in the Russo-Japanese Naval Battle at Port Arthur - Hurrah! The event saw a Japanese torpedo boat destroyer attack Russian ships at Port Arthur decimating the Russian fleet at the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War.
Measures 15 x 57 inches.
