Early work on England's Great Western Railway, detailing railway engineering, with extensive description and illustration, notable in its own right, and also as an early example of lithographic reproduction. The text was in fact written by George Thomas Clark, an engineer and geologist, rather than John C. Bourne who generally receives the credit due to his attribution on the title page. The 1846 edition (offered here) is said to feature sheets from the 1843 edition with a new title page, but this has not been confirmed.
