Description
The sterling silver loving cup 'Friendship's Flagon' was presented to Joseph Taylor Bird on July 6th, 1916.
Friendship's flagon filled to the brim with affections thoughts replenished every day and brimming over on this glorious fourth.
Measures 14 x 9 inches, weighs 64.05 ozt.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
