EC's cynical view of romance is on full display in Jack Kamen's "Loved to Death," in which a lonely nebbish dopes an indifferent gal with love serum. Soon, the lovesick gal's affections grow old, and the nebbish accidentally offs himself with poison meant for her. His ghost awakes in the afterlife, relieved to be free from his annoying love-slave, until her ghost shows up to love-bomb him for all eternity.
