Chinese Antique Pleated Silk Embroidered Skirt, probably Qing (18th-19th century in date), is designed with bands of embroidery set against coral colored silk with woven designs of auspicious symbols. The embroidered bands are decorated with motifs of flowers, phoenix, deer and immortal maiden riding a flying phoenix. Two panels depicting women in a garden embroidered against a ground of gold threads further embellish the skirt.

Condition: Beige band at top is soiled from wear. Silk and embroidery are in good condition.
