Description
This is an attractive Victorian wedding gown dating from 1920s is a gown that a mid to upper class dress that a woman would wear. A regal off white gown that was deaccession from the Strong Museum in Rochester New York. The gown still retains original Museum ID catalog tags.
The bodice is decorated with battenburg lace on front and back drop. With a high neck collar decorated with faux pearls and white beads. Both neck collar and front and inner sleeves has chiffon with pin tucks. Sleeves have a pointed scalloped feature with decorated with faux pearls and white beads. The bodice has hook and loop back closure fastening into a tight fitting bodice.
The bodice is lined with white satin. Bodice waist is adorned with a satin gathered attached sash. A decorative dangling medallion sewn into side made of beads and pearls.
The skirt closes by hooks and loops at the back and gathered at back with fullness for a nice fall. The skirt is unlined.
CONDITION
The gown is in good condition except for the chiffon pin tuck fabric on collar and front inserts and inner sleeve has shattered. The lining fabric is in very good condition. No underarm discoloration, no repairs, no stains
