Description
An Edwardian 1912 trained evening gown made of stunning cream colored silk satin with silk satin ribbon sash around waistline embellished off center at back with a large satin covered buckle. Unusual V shaped train. The dress hangs loose below waist with extensive front hook and eye closures. Off white net french tambour lace hangs over one shoulder extending on both sides to the hem of skirt. The other side hangs with hand sewn beadwork on net over shoulder front and back as well as on sleeve cuffs.. Lovely hand crochet dangling balls decorates gown, with being sewn on tambour lace around sleeves, above sleeve cuff and follows edges of tambour lace to hem line ended with a lovely satin covered large buckle . Pleating of satin on front and back, and on side of skirt.

The dress was recently deaccsessioned from the Strong Historical museum in Rochester New York and still retaining its museum catalog identification sewn in tag at inner neck line.
CONDITION
This dress is in very good/excellent condition. No stains, odors or repairs. The lace and beadwork is overall in phenomenal shape with one small rip in sleeve lace and another small tear in lace at closure in front and some bead loss. No discoloration at underarm area. Lining in very good condition. Can be worn with care.
