Description
Important vase ''Phenomenon Gre 85/5065'' Koloman Moser (design of form and decoration), Loetz Witwe, Klostermühle, for E. Bakalowits' Söhne, Vienna 1902 White-yellow opal glass, this tightly spun with silver-yellow and slightly warped. Tongue decoration enclosed in the glass, tapering from bottom to top towards the mouth. The center and the bottom with applied multicolored spots. Reduced and iridescent. Bottom signed ''Loetz Austria''. H. 32,5 cm. Lit.: Ricke/Vlcek, Lötz Bohemian glass vol. II, p. 304, no. 5029 (form). Both form and decoration correspond to typical designs of Koloman Moser from the time, but the form design could also be attributed to one of his students from the Vienna School of Applied Arts. An examination report of a material analytical study from 2007 is available. Our vase was featured in ''Sharp I'' from 2015.
