PROVENANCE: The Exceptional Collections of Lieutenant General Cai Wenzhi 蔡文治 (1911 - January 9, 1994), Courtesy Name: Dingwu 定武, Spouse: Madame Wu Peiqi 吳佩琪 (Wu Peifu's 吳佩孚's younger sister). Cai Wenzhi born in Huanggang County, Hubei Province (Xinzhou District, Wuhan City). Graduated from the ninth period of the Whampoa Military Academy and the thirteenth period of the Army University. Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army.

Xie Yuemei 謝月眉 (1906 - 1998) was named Juan Ruo. Born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, female painter, never married, lived in Shanghai with her third brother Xie Zhiliu and Chen Peiqiu for a long time. One of the founders of the Chinese Women's Painting and Calligraphy Association during the Republic of China. His 24-year-old "Peony Picture" was published in "Contemporary Celebrity Paintings" by Zhonghua Book Company in 1931.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (paper or silk), regardless from any major damages; includes light blooms, discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages. Frame with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
