The figure found in the ruins of Breslau ( Wroclaw ) during construction works probably comes from the Wroclaw studio of the artist Paul Schulz (1875-1945), an eminent sculptor whose works decorate many Lower Silesian towns.Award-winning artist by Kaiser Wilhelm II himself, who presented him with the medal personally during the Great Berlin Exhibition in 1907.During World War II he stayed in Wroclaw. At its end, in January 1945, he tried to reach the sisters. When it turned out to be impossible, he set off for Klodzko. During this escapade, he fell seriously ill. He abandoned his destination and returned to Wroclaw. There he was assigned to clear the streets of rubble. Weakness after the illness, his advanced age (at that time he was already 70 years old) and the related inability to do hard physical work as well as malnutrition resulting from the lack of food stamps meant that his body could not resist the raging typhus at that time. Exhausted, he died on August 13, 1945. He was buried in a ceramic chest in the now non-existent (liquidated in 1970-1976) cemetery of St. Magdalena at the present ul.
