RUDOLPH SCHWARZ (American 1866–1912) A PAIR OF BOOKENDS, "New York and California," CIRCA 1910, bronze with brown and gold patina, "New York" bookend signed on base at right, "R. Schwarz," both pieces marked on base at left edge "Gorham Founders Q478," with Conner-Rosenkranz paper label. Height: 8 1/2" Width: 5 1/4" Depth: 5 1/2" Provenance: Conner-Rosenkranz, New York. Estate of Donald James Douglass, San Antonio, Texas. Proceeds to benefit the Douglass Foundation.
Condition
