A lot of items dating back to the World War II era. A poetry book by Mascha Kaleko, titled Das Lyrische Stenogrammheft, Verse vom Alltag, The Lyric Stenography Booklet, Verses from Everyday Life, in German, published by Rohwolt Verlag in 1936, second printing. A total of 14 US War Ration Books. A brown leather document folder. A framed photograph of the Memphis Belle crew with handwritten inscription in the upper left indicating the achievements of the bomber. Mascha Kaleko, 1907 to 1975, was a Jewish-German poet, in 1938 she emigrated to the USA due to Nazi censorship. War Ration Books were introduced by the US government during the WWII, the books contained removable stamps for certain items that were in danger of shortage. The Memphis Belle is a Flying Fortress, a US Air Force heavy bomber that completed 25 combat missions during the Second World War.
