Charles Hour, Paris, for Bigelow Kennard & Co., Boston, a good gorge cased carriage clock with grand sonnerie striking and alarm, brass case with molded top and base, five bevelled glasses, and carrying handle, roman numeral white enamel dial with subsidiary alarm chapter, blued steel distaff style hands, three train movement with lever platform and cut bimetallic balance, sounding the hours and quarters on two gongs, and repeating the last hour and quarter on demand, the back plate marked "Ch. Hour", the base with strike/ silent lever
Condition
case dirty, with tarnish and spotting, lacking gilding, rear glass replaced with plexiglas, and with cracks, the other glasses good, dial good, movement dirty, oily, running, striking, and repeating, quarters sometimes incorrect, needs service and adjustment, alarm functional
