"Little Lord Fauntleroy" follows the life of a young boy, Cedric Errol, who inherits a title and estate from his estranged grandfather. The novel is a coming-of-age story that explores themes of class and privilege, and the protagonist's journey to understand his new role as a member of the upper class. It is richly illustrated with charming drawings by Reginald Birch that bring the characters and settings to life. Overall good condition. Shelf wear. Spine cocked. The thread holding the pages together is exposed in the gutter of some areas in the book. Various pen and pencil inscriptions on thefront endpapers, none by the author. Pages are mostly clean however there is a stain in the same area of the page on pages 25 to 33 with the severity of the stain peaking at pages 30-31. Page 155's bottom corner has been repaired with tape.
