All Chapellier labeled items offered descend from the Georges Chapellier Estate while all other items from the Chapellier-Rosenberger family may have other sources via Rosenberger prior to inheritance by the Long Island family from whom we acquired this work. This particular lot does not have a Chapellier label or a Chapellier exhibition citation and thus the provenance is Chapellier or Rosenberger.

Lined on post WWII replacement stretchers, older conservation now showing tear repairs in sky, fine craquelure throughout, darkened varnish, moderate even canvas sag, some stray possibly off white house paint spatter, edges taped post WWII, unframed.
