Description
U.S. Infantry swagger stick, 24 in. long, constructed of rattan and painted a dark brown except for the tip. Features a silver cap at the top bearing two crossed rifles and reading ‘USA’ above in high relief. The cap has also been marked ‘Sterling’ just next to the imagery. Some wear to the silver cap, else very good. Accompanied by a group photo, dated '2/2/19', of the U.S. 57th Infantry Regiment Band and Soldier Talent in which a blue arrow points out the original owner of this swagger stick, Bandmaster Lt. G. Stier. Swagger sticks were largely popular in the United States during the 1920s and again from 1956-1960.
