Assassination of Henry 1V, King of France, 1610.
Original etching on paper, Jan Luyken, 1685.
Depicts the King's coach stuck in traffic as the assassin, monk Francois Ravillac, fatally wounds King Henry IV in his coach.
Marked across the base (approximate translation from Dutch to English): Henry the Fourth; Nicknamed the Great, Killed in Karos, in the Street....

Framed and matted under glass.
