Elvis Presley Lot of (5) Karate Photographs Signed by Kang Rhee and Wayne Carman W/JSA Authentication - This lot includes (3) high-quality, oversized 16" x 20" and (2) 8" x 10" photograph of Elvis Presley, Kang Rhee, and Wayne Carman practicing karate. Elvis became interested in taekwondo when he served in the Army in Germany, and his former instructor Ed Parker highly recommended Kang Rhee when he returned to Memphis. Elvis trained with Kang Rhee from 1970 to 1974, and during their four year period together they became good friends and Elvis adopted his training name of "Tiger". Close friends of Elvis call this four year period "The Golden Years", as they represented a time of peace and spiritual contentment for him. The 8" x 10" photograph with Elvis, Kang Rhee and Wayne Carman, and two of the 16" x 20" photos are signed by both Kang Rhee and Wayne Carman, and one 16" x 20" is signed by Kang Rhee. The last 8" x 10" showing Elvis and Kang Rhee is signed by Kang Rhee. All five of the photographs come with certificates of authenticity from James Spence Authentication. Kang Rhee passed away on August 16th, 2019 and this is a highly collectible and historic item from the era known as "The King and Kang".
