Patriot Silversmith Paul Revere's Historic Print titled "In Cambridge New England" Half-Plate View 1875 Restrike, Signed Within the Copper Plate Engraving by "P. Revere"
c. 1767, Paul Revere Engraving, "In Cambridge New England," Reprint of 1875, Half-Plate View Struck Off of the Original Copper Printing Plate that was Signed In The Copper Plate by Paul Revere, Framed, Choice Crisp Near Mint.
This is an 1875 Restrike, printed off the original Paul Revere Silvermith Engraved Copper-Plate, originally engraved by Paul Revere, "P. Revere" circa 1767. This Engraving was after an original artwork by the artist J. Chadwick titled, "Harvard College In Cambridge New England."
This print was produced from one half of the original plates engraved by Paul Revere, his name inscribed as the engraver, identified as, "P Revere Sculp(tor)." The print itself measures about 10.5" x 7.5" and is professionally matted and black painted wood with inner gold trim, framed to 18.5" x 15.5". The historic engraved print is seen through special protective UV Plexiglas. We have not examined This print appears bright, clean and crisp in detail (not viewed out of the frame). Overall, in exceptional condition, showing every detail from the original copper-plate. A rare original reprint struck off of the original Paul Revere engraved plate. Ready to hang on display. This impressive example is ready for hanging on display.
