Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE; Nayarit, Protoclassic Period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A gathering of hand-built pottery figures, head fragment, and a dog form whistle. The hollow head has a vent hole atop the headdress, and presents a stylized visage, linear scarification marks, and orange-red pigments creating banding and stippling.
