Dutch or Bavarian School oil on canvas genre scene painting depicting a family gathered outside their home with a man playing a horn for a child, a woman holding an infant, and a dog sleeping below. The scene is surrounded by floral foliage and a mountain landscape in the background. Signed "Dorner" lower right, possibly Johann Conrad Dorner (Austria, 1809-1866) or after Johann Jakob Dorner the Elder (Germany, 1741-1813). Housed in a carved and painted wood frame with a linen mat and gilt filet. Sight: 23 1/4" H x 19" W. Framed: 30 3/4" H x 26 1/2" W. Early-mid 19th Century.
