Description
This is a very interesting map of the US West Coast from World War II. About 110,000 people of Japanese ancestry were forcibly "evacuated" and relocated in Washington, Oregon, California with the majority, and Arizona. There were 108 exclusion areas, each with about 1,000 previously residing people of Japanese ancestry. These 108 areas are color-coded. The relocation took place between March and August 1942. Insets are of the higest Japanese population areas of the metro areas of Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. The assembly centers and relocation centers are shown.
