Jean-Baptiste Verduc was a French pathologist and surgeon in the 17th-century. While his works are relatively unknown and unused compared to that of, say, Pierre Dionis, Verduc does provide interesting accounts of medicine and cures in his works including “The Way to Heal Fractures”. In this particular treatise, Verduc describes all of the necessary techniques for treating and healing fractures, breaks, and joint dislocations as well as how to properly apply bandages and braces.
