**Originally Listed At $350**

North America, Southwestern United States, ca. mid-20th century CE. A pair of leather bags with nickel-silver and nickel-iron buckles: a backpack with a pair of shoulder straps, and a purse. The backpack has a suede body, leather panel accents stitched to the lower corners to reinforce the straps, and a flap closure. Around the opening is a cinch cord, and the nickel-silver buckle shoulder straps are adjustable. The other bag is a purse with tooled decorations on the flap and front panel, and whip stitched around the panels to create a structured form with a flap closure and iron buckle, crossbody shoulder strap with an adjustable nickel-iron buckle. Size (purse): 8" L x 2.5" W x 8.5" H (20.3 cm x 6.4 cm x 21.6 cm); (backpack): 20" L x 17" W (50.8 cm x 43.2 cm)

Condition

Fair condition. Leather is stiff and semi-supple on the backpack; one strap is wrapped in tape to prevent slipped out of buckle. Staining and discoloration. Green and russet patina on the buckles. Purse has russet patina on the rivets and buckles. Interior has earthen and mineral deposits and flaking to the interior surface. Please note the purse might require some restoration before use.
