Fine Louis XV style bed, with bronze dore mounts, after the original by Francois Linke (French, 1855-1946), exterior: approx 76"h, 91.5"l, 81"w, interior: approx 82.5"l, 69.5"w Start Price: $3,000.00

12.2.22-In my opinion regarding LOT 1497- The bed is stately and in sturdy, stable condition, as described it is after an original design by Linke, the wood frame shows some typical very minor and small areas of wear and loss, particularly along inner left bed rail at top there is a very small veneer loss, there are some lines at left footboard, the other footboard has a small filled area at the side bronze, it appears that the screw from inner rail pierced through and now has been filled, the inner footboard does show filled spots where exterior bronzes are mounted at the front, the metal mounts display some spotting in patination, all appear present with some typical an inherent pitting, and inlays appear intact, the whole could use a good polishing/cleaning, all mentioned commensurate with use, the interior measures: approx 82.5"l, 69.5"w, the bed is not dated, our specialist felt it may be mid to late 20thc. due to the wear, however again since it is not dated, we cannot say for sure
