Unusual cranberry threaded swirl shaker set with lovely enameled decoration set in signed Toronto silverplate holder. Nice! ThelmaBob, our resident Honey child and southern bell, is enamored with cranberry glass. It's the same shade of red, her Great Aunt Felicity used to wear. Oh does it bring back fond family memories. Felicity worked hard for everything she got. ThelmaBob's mother told her stories how she lived in a beautiful apartment above the local bar in the western town she lived in. She had it decorated in deep red tones and flocked wallpaper that was so dreamy. ThelmaBob's mother mentioned that Felicity worked from home most of the time. She was diligent, working late into the night and sometimes until day break. You always knew when she was ready to start her day. She would place an oil lamp in the window with a red shade on it. Oh how it glowed. Everyone, especially the men in town, adored her. They knew how hard she worked. Why they would frequently call on her just to make sure she was alright. She worked such long hours. They were concerned. Many times, ThemaBob's mother said, they would spend usually an hour with her. There were so many concerned fellas they each gave one another equal opportunity to spend a fair amount of time with Felicity. That way, they all knew she would be alright and keep her company. She was such a giving lady. Never waivering. Always doing for others and was so selfless. What a gal Great Aunt Felicity was! This shaker set is wonderful and seems to be quite a scarce set. It measures 5" tall.
