Description

Five mid-nineteenth century jeweler's account books, etc., 1851-1876, possibly from the same business. Entries include items for melted filings, California gold, mosaic pins, jewelry with various gems, and even sometimes mention coinage, such as a half eagle $5 coin "for new scroll ring". Based on inscriptions in multiple books they seem to have belonged to someone or a family with the surname of Griffith of 430 Poplar Street, Philadelphia.
