Description
BERLIN HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN PLAQUE C. 1890. Comprising a finely painted KPM quality porcelain plaque depicting Antigone and Ismene, sisters in an ancient Greek play by Sophocles. After the painting by Emil Teschendorf (German, 1833-1894). Verso with impressed number 324 and contained in a vintage gilt frame. The plaque, 8.3 inches x 5.5 inches (21.3cm x 14.2cm).
