- Car restored several years ago
- New European number plates
- Running, clutch to be adjusted
- 31920 km indicated

The Salmson brand was founded by engineer Emile Salmson in Paris in 1890 as a workshop specialising in the production of steam compressors and centrifugal pumps.
After the First World War, the company began the production of bodies and then complete cars as well as aircraft engines.
In 1922 the Type D was introduced, which held the enviable record as the world's first production car with a double overhead camshaft. With 1250 cc and 10 hp, it was produced in a thousand units sold. A car that symbolised French savoir-faire, it was distinguished by its Salmson-patented front suspension, characterised by two inverted 'quarter-elliptical' springs on each side, and the new V-shaped grille, without the St Andrew's cross. The 10HP model is also characterised by its integrated double headlamps and four-wheel brakes.
The magnificent example offered at auction was registered on 01/01/1924 and comes from a large private pre-war car collection. The car is running and was restored several years ago. The clutch is in need of adjustment. As affordable as it is interesting, this car is a true milestone in automotive history.
